When things went wrong these days, they always went wrong in the most spectacular of ways.

Tonight was no exception to that rule.

By the time Stefan and Rebekah made it to the Palmer House, there was no sign of the car. Well, almost no sign. There was a fresh set of skid marks on the pavement. Whoever had been driving had started driving very suddenly and very quickly.

A few bystanders noticed a car with three classy broads, driving away very quickly, but who they were or where they were going, no one could say. There was some talk of hearing a baby cry from the backseat, but who knew?
