It's not to say that Rebekah isn't open-minded. She's had her fair share of female lovers throughout the centuries, often finding them more pleasing than men on more than one occasion, but most of it has always happened behind closed doors. Dancing with another woman in that capacity (she noticed her eyes lingering on her neckline, she can read between the lines, as harmless as the suggestion may seem) isn't done, and while Rebekah isn't normally one to care, after New Orleans, she isn't sure she should be attracting that kind of attention.

Unfortunately for both Rebekah and Diana, as if on cue, Klaus swoops in to ruin the day.

"As flattered as I'm sure my sister is, she already has a dance partner for the evening." One that has been thoroughly vetted by him and already put up with the majority of Klaus's bad behavior - and maybe even likes him for it.
